History Of Tirathgarh
A small village known as Tirathgarh is situated towards south-west Of Bastar district. Every place or city has its own history behind the name . Same Tirathgarh has also its own suspense attached.
There were two brothers known as Tirathraj and Chinraj back on those days. They was attracted by the place and hence decided to spend there lives making their kingdom here only.
Tirathraj made a fort on the lower region of the fall and the village on the upper but now fort has been totally destroyed but still exists.
Chinraj constructed a fort and village nearby a fall 5-7 km away. There are monasteries constructed in remembrance of family members. Monasteries are generally found in the places like Darela, Charama, Bijapur, Bhoramgad.
Local Tribe Believes
The Maria Tribes and their street market are present in almost villages in Bastar. The Maria tribes would setup their street market on every Monday . As the believes of locals the Tirathgarh waterfall is considered to be religious place with Shiv temple.
Huge peoples are gather here on the Mahashivratri for seeking blessings and to enjoy there visit awesome waterfall in a great greenery. This festival continues for almost for 3 days

Tirathgarh waterfall has its own specialty, during summer and monsoons. As we all know waterfall are stunning during monsoons, similar in the Tirathgarh. The waterfall looks like a single stream of water coming down a height of 91 feet, we can recognize the heavy fall of the water. When water falls from upwards with a heavy fall looks like a White Milky Liquid falling on the river Mughabahar.

- By Airport:
1) Swami Vivekananda Airport- 320 Km from Jagdalpur and then need to take local vehicle or passenger bus
2) Vishakhapatnam International Airport: 285 Km from Jagdalpur
- By Railway:
Raipur Railway Station is the nearest railway to connect
Jagdalpur Railway is no such way to connect with Tiratgarh waterfall for tourister
- By Bus:
Raipur, Vishakhapatnam, Rajnandgaon, & Jagdalpur is junction to connect to the Tirathgarh waterfall
